Objective:
The objective of this Placement Policy is to ensure a fair and transparent placement process for all eligible MBA students and to maintain decorum, discipline, and equal opportunity during the placement season.
Placement Cell
The institution has a dedicated placement cell responsible for coordinating all placement-related activities and building relationships with potential recruiters.
Pre-Placement Activities
The placement cell organizes various pre-placement activities such as resume building workshops, interview preparation sessions, mock interviews, and personality development programs to enhance students’ employability.
Industry Engagement
The institution maintains strong connections with industry professionals, alumni networks, and corporate partners to facilitate internships, guest lectures, industry visits, and live projects for students.
The placement cell follows a structured placement process, which typically includes the following steps:
- Announcement: Companies announce their requirements, job profiles, and selection criteria.
- Registration: Interested students submit resumes and other documents to the placement cell.
- Pre-Placement Talks: Companies provide insights into their organization, roles, and growth opportunities.
- Shortlisting: Based on resumes, academic performance, and criteria.
- Interviews: Multiple rounds such as technical, group discussions, and personal interviews.
- Selection: Offers are extended and students may accept or decline.
- Placement Statistics: Transparent records are maintained on offers, salary packages, etc.
Placement Policy Guidelines
The SPS MBA Institute adheres to guidelines to ensure fairness and transparency. These may include rules on offer acceptance deadlines, offer withdrawal, confidentiality agreements, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
Registration for Placement
Students must register by filling out the Placement Registration Form.
Only registered students will be allowed to participate in placement activities.
Students must truthfully disclose their employment status (if already placed or working).
Offer Rules
- A student can apply to multiple companies until they receive their first offer.
- After receiving the first offer, the student may be:
- Out of the placement process, or
- Allowed a second opportunity only for a dream/high package job (as per institute discretion).
- Once a student accepts an offer, they must not apply to other companies.
- If a student receives multiple offers, they must accept only one and inform the Placement Cell.
- Blacklisting/Disqualification
Students will be disqualified/blacklisted from placement activities in case of:
- False information in resumes or manipulating documents .
- Misconduct or indiscipline during the placement process.
- Absenteeism from interviews without prior notice.
- Not joining the company after accepting the offer.
Internship and Training
The placement cell facilitates job training, field projects, and industry training programs — providing practical exposure and bridging the gap between academics and industry needs.
